Back this summer by popular demand, this is the eleventh class of its type at BAM. This hands-on course offers classroom teachers and their aides the opportunity to learn strategies for actively engaging students with works of art and to create their own artwork using a variety of media and techniques. Brainstorming sessions provide invaluable time for sharing ideas for adapting and using the presented activities. This class focuses on integrating art into the required classroom curricula through participation in innovative interdisciplinary activities. |

This is the twelfth year BAM has conducted this popular five-day institute. This program is presented in collaboration with area museums and community organizations. Teachers will have the opportunity to visit exhibitions, play educational games, and share ideas for using educational resources. This class focuses on providing teachers with experiences, materials, ideas and resources from community organizations that can be used in the classroom. There will be ample walking throughout the week. |
