Boise Art Museum seeks an Event Coordinator to support its mission by maximizing Museum revenues by successfully coordinating, organizing, and managing Museum special events, private event rentals, internal events, and fundraisers, such as Art in the Park, and the Gala among other fundraisers. This position manages event details from inception through completion including security, client relations, as well as carrying out all event timelines and deliverables along with being present at each event. 3 years of experience developing, implementing, and administering successful events. Competency with desktop computer and spreadsheet software. Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, administrative and communication skills (written and spoken) with attention to detail. Ability to take direction as well as independent initiative and work well with a variety of people including employees, volunteers, vendors, and clients. BA or BS in Business, Art, Non-Profit Management, Administration or related topic (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Boise Art Museum’s Visitor Services Associates support the mission and safety of the Museum by sharing knowledge about exhibitions and keeping artwork and people safe. Visitor Services Associates help provide positive experiences for visitors of all ages, assist in event set-up and take-down, and staff exhibition openings.
We are currently seeking a Visitor Services Associate who can work up to 20 hours per week, with an average of 12-16 per week. This position requires working weekends, and some week nights during special events or on First Thursday.
