BAM requires all employees to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination as a condition of employment.  Fully vaccinated is defined as having had your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or your single dose of Johnson & Johnson, at least two weeks prior to your start date.  If you are willing to get vaccinated, your start date would be adjusted accordingly.

Boise Art Museum seeks a Visitor Services Associate to support the mission and safety of the Museum by sharing wayfinding information about exhibitions and keeping artwork and people safe. Visitor Services Associates help provide positive experiences for visitors of all ages, and assist in event set-up and take-down, and staff exhibition openings.  Send letter of interest, resume, and three references to HR@boiseartmuseum.org.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in a visitor service role at a comparable organization or experience in hospitality, retail, attractions, or cultural organizations
  • Ability to work with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to identify and positively resolve visitor issues in the moment; strong decision making skills necessary
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and special events as necessary
  • Effective and persuasive communications skills; able to speak clearly and present information to a wide variety of visitors, volunteers, and staff
  • Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background and reference check, which will include criminal reports as well as verifications of employment and educational records.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); relevant coursework from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.

Boise Art Museum seeks a Development Manager to work with the Executive Director, staff and board to identify, define and acquire funding for the Museum through corporate, foundation, government and individual sources to serve the non-profit mission of the organization.  The Development Manager serves in a donor relations capacity through coordination of BAM’s database and stewardship activities. Minimum of five (5) years experience in fund development with a focus on grants and sponsorships.  Composition and language skills in technical and persuasive writing in grant and sponsor proposals.  Competency with desktop computer, presentation software, and database applications.  Proficiency with grants.gov platform. BA or BS in related topic. Master’s Degree in related topic beneficial.

Boise Art Museum seeks a Curator of Art to serve as a thought partner and change agent through scheduling, organizing, designing, managing, and installing the Museum’s art exhibitions in fulfillment of the Museum’s mission. The Curator of Art enhances the educational role of the institution through interpretation of original works of art including the Museum’s Permanent Collection, with labels, catalogues, and other materials. Effective presentation skills. Ability to discuss complex art, fundraising, and marketing issues at all levels of the organization and public. At least two (2) years of personnel management experience.

Master’s degree in art history, or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate should excel at working in a fast-paced and dynamic organization, and must have flexible availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Vaccination Status

Boise Art Museum has a duty to provide and maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards and to do our part in safeguarding the health of our co-workers and their families as well as the community at large.  As a condition of employment, we require all Boise Art Museum employees and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by their start date.
