Visit BAM today to be among the first to see our new exhibition, “The Art of Jean LaMarr.” This retrospective exhibition features paintings, prints, and sculptures by Jean LaMarr - Fine Artist & Printmaker, an internationally recognized artist, educator, and Native American advocate. For decades her work has sparked powerful and important conversations about cultural stereotypes, representations of Native women, legacies of colonization, and environmental justice. Born in Susanville, California, LaMarr is of Northern Paiute and Pit River ancestry with family ties to Pyramid Lake, Nevada.

This exhibition is organized by Nevada Museum of Art

After months of planning and two full weeks installing more than twenty thousand handmade paper kites, Jacob Hashimoto was putting the finishing touches on his site-specific installation “The Fractured Giant” yesterday. It is now finished and open to our visitors! Come experience this immersive installation for yourself. Jacob Hashimoto‘s layered compositions reference video games, virtual environments, and cosmology, while also being deeply rooted in art-historical traditions, notably, landscape-based abstraction, modernism and hand-craft.
