SAVE THE DATE Art in the Park 2018 Friday | Saturday | Sunday September 7 - 9, 2018 Boise Art Museum’s Art in the Park is widely recognized as one of the premiere cultural events in the Northwest. This open-air festival, held on the weekend following Labor Day each September, provides visitors of all ages and interests with the opportunity to meet more than 200 artists and purchase their works. During the three-day event, Boise Art Museum presents a variety of contemporary arts and crafts along with an exceptional array of live entertainment, park performances, wonderful food and hands-on activities for children. Call to Sponsors – Take Part in a Community Tradition! Boise Art Museum is accepting sponsors for Art in the Park 2018, BAM’s largest community event and fundraiser. This event is 18 and older.   CALL TO ARTISTS / DESIGNERS Inspired by the variety of art media on display in the exhibition Consider the Source, the Boise Art Museum invites designers and artists of all experience levels to participate and compete in our MATERIAL Design Contest. This year’s challenge celebrates the raw materials artists use to create works of art. The Material Design Contest encourages designers to showcase their talents to create a garment made from and inspired by wood, paint, metal, paper, glass, or clay. Entries will be featured at BAM’s ART OF FASHION SHOW: MATERIAL on Saturday, April 21, 2018, during which attendees will vote for their favorite design.
