Teacher Professional Development

Teacher Education
The Boise Art Museum offers Teacher Institutes each summer and a Educator Workshop Series in the Fall. Teachers receive the opportunity to learn strategies, develop techniques, and expand resources that can be used in the classroom.

Object-Based Learning: Investigating Art & Craft with STREAM | July 22-26, 2019

Join with teachers across subject and grade levels to explore the Museum and create in the studios. Participants will investigate art and craft objects, learn techniques and processes, and forge connections with their own curricula. This STREAM* oriented institute will focus on making connections with the artworks of Stephanie Wilde and Sarah Sense, as well as ceramic and textile works on display at BAM. Participants will explore design thinking, meet with guest facilitators, and create projects and materials for use in their own teaching environments.
