BAM offers extended hours on the First Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. along with special programs including Ask a Docent at Noon and 2 p.m. and Studio Art Exploration and Art Answers from 4 – 7 p.m.

Ask a Docent
Noon and 2 p.m.

Have a question? Visitors are encouraged to talk with docents stationed in galleries throughout the Museum at Noon and 2 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. Just look for the “Ask Me” sign.


Art Break Tour 
2 p.m.
Enjoy a 30-minute talk presented by BAM Docents focusing on artwork found in the Museum’s exhibitions at 2 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month.


Studio Art Exploration  Sponsored by the Art4Moore Fund of Tides Foundation
4 – 7 p.m.
Art lovers of all ages and abilities re invited to drop in and explore art media in the Albertson’s Education Studio on the first Thursday of each month from 4 – 7 p.m.

May 3, 2018 Make a collage using multiple materials.
June 7, 2018 Create a map of your identity inspired by Mapping the Present: Selections from the Driek and Michael Zirinsky Collection.
July 5, 2018 View Heather Carson: Sculpted Light and create your own sculptures using simple lines.
August 2, 2018 Explore Cercle et Carré and the International Spirit of Abstract Art and create an image with bold shapes and colors.


Art Answers
4 – 7 p.m.

BAM’s new Art Answers program is a comfortable way for visitors of all ages to learn more about artwork, exhibitions, artists, and materials Just look for the ‘Ask Me’ sign in BAM’s galleries! Offered on the first Thursday of each month, visitors can stop by any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Art Answers features a different work of art every month.
