Class Instructor (Pre-K to 12th Grade)

The Boise Art Museum’s Contract Instructors support BAM’s Education programming by facilitating BAM’s camps and classes for children. Instructors engage students in lively discussions and hands-on activities related to BAM’s collection and current exhibitions.

Duration
Contracts range from a single class to a 12-month commitment

Responsibilities
• Teach art lessons for Pre-K through 12th grade students centered on BAM’s collection and changing exhibitions.
• Engage students in thoughtful and meaningful discussions and facilitate art making in conjunction with established themes.
• Communicate and coordinate with other instructors, volunteers, and BAM Education Department staff.
• Abide by BAM’s policies and procedures.
• Incorporate feedback from BAM staff and participants of the program.

• Incorporate feedback as a result of instructor evaluations.

BAM Visitor Services Associate

Boise Art Museum’s Visitor Services Associates support the mission and safety of the Museum by sharing knowledge about exhibitions and keeping artwork and people safe. Visitor Services Associates help provide positive experiences for visitors of all ages, assist in event set-up and take-down, and staff exhibition openings.

We are currently seeking a Visitor Services Associate who can work up to 20 hours per week, with an average of 12-16 per week.  This position requires working weekends, and some week nights during special events or on First Thursday.
